Rotarians are quick to respond as volunteers when an immediate need arises. Trucks and cars get packed, bodies go into action. District 6880 Foundation is a financial resource to ensure their actions are effective.
Mobilization to assist in a disaster is usually immediate. Once volunteers are on the ground, helping hands abound. However, a sustained response over the weeks and months after the event, when volunteers have gone home, is essential. Housing for refugees, food and water resources in areas where the infrastructure is so damaged it cannot support people, materials for building both temporary and long term shelter are all essential parts of a prolonged or sustained recovery effort. District 6880 Foundation is there as a resource to make sure these missions get accomplished.
